Cats, Dogs, and Flowers is a fake playlist listening party that I made! Mostly as a means to intersect my design skills with my love for music, but also to
show off what I think is a great playlist.

It’s one of my goals to work somewhere in the music industry, whether that’s directly with an artist I love and creating a brand identity for them, or working in a space that talks about music and educates the public about what’s new. For the last few years, I’ve volunteered in radio, making playlists and playing and talking about them on air. This project was a way for me to make a brand identity for a potential event that I would love to host one day.

Many of the playlists I make for the radio have some sort of theme, and this one happens to be with songs relating to cats, dogs, and flowers. Much of the ideation process stemmed from my own drawings, and I wanted to include as much of those hand-made elements as possible. I was heavily inspired by graphics and textual layouts I see in the CDs I collect, and I wanted to make the song listing based off of that!
